Helicopter Transport Services

Our Medical Crews are ready to respond within minutes to any critical patient, including cardiac, respiratory, trauma, burn, neurological, surgical, medical, and pediatric emergencies. Our scope of care includes inter-facility and EMS transport of the patients in the communities we serve, longer distance inter-facility transports, and medical standby for special events.

We utilize a fleet of multi-engine, climate-controlled non-pressurized Helicopter specifically configured for providing critical care and advanced life support, including state of the art transport ventilators, infusion pumps, cardiac monitors, noninvasive monitoring, and an expanded drug inventory. 

Constant changes in medicine and technology require Medical Flight Crewmembers to maintain competency. We provide initial ground school training, including flight physiology, crew resource management, safety, and annual continual education to assure superior patient care. In addition, annual educational opportunities for the Pilots, Mechanics, and Communication Center staff are provided.

Our nurses may have multiple certifications to include the following:

• Critical Care RN
• Certified Emergency RN
• Certified Flight RN
• Certified Intensive Care Provider

Our paramedics are EMT-P qualified and may have multiple certifications to include the following:

• Flight Paramedic Certified
• Critical Care Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic
• Certified Intensive Care Paramedic

All medical teams must have a minimum of 3 (three) years critical care experience.  All maintain current status in the following:

• Basic Life Support
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support
• Pre Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS)
• Advanced Medical Life Support
• Annual recurrent education to include Flight physiology and Air Medical Resource Management
• CICP Certified Intensive Care Paramedic / Provider

All of the Life Air, Critical Care Transport Team members have extended knowledge in advanced airway procedures, IABP, ventilator management, and hemodynamic monitoring.  Our team is ready to help serve yours at a moment’s notice.
