Patient Transport Qualifier

1.  Requires critical care team to maintain therapeutic modalities
2. Land transport >30 minutes / patient’s condition likely to worsen
3. Transport by ground would be hazardous and delayed due to road and / or traffic conditions
4. Patient’s condition could require emergency surgical intervention within 1 hour
5. MVC involving one or more of the following:
1. Extrication time > 15 minutes
2. Structural intrusion of the victims space
3. Patient ejection
4. Associated fatalities
5. Speed of the vehicle > 55 mph
6. Patient requires ACLS during transport and/or a patent airway cannot be maintained
7. Systolic blood pressure less than 90
8. A respiratory rate less than 10
9. A pulse rate less than 60 or greater than 120
10. Positive Stroke Test
