Airway management is an essential life saving measure, and intubation is an important aspect of airway management. Due to this Life Air, Inc. medical crew members will do no less than 6 intubations, both crew members will be trained even though state regulations may dictate who is allowed to intubate during and before transport. The intubations will be done either in the surgery department or with a human patient simulator (HPS). All the intubations must be specific to age groups within the Life Air, Inc. scope of care.
